Flashbacks

I sold my Propel phone tonight (cause Mike finally convinced me to get an iphone) and as I was resetting it I found a bunch of pictures from the past 6 months. Here are my favs:

Thumb + Blankie = favorite combination. And look at that hair! It was hard to mohawk it once it got that long.

My chubby little one year old. I love those arms!

This is what happens when I turned my head for 2 seconds. Carson got into the tampons and proceeded to take them all out of the box and spread them throughout the house.

One of the RARE moments where Carson is sitting calmly.

Playing before his first haircut

His hair was way too long. Suprisingly it was really hard for me to get his hair cut the first time. I think because it meant he wasn't a little baby anymore!

Sitting so patiently

Pushing Grant around the house (the little boy I used to babysit).

My new haircut (taken 2 weeks ago)

Carson climbed into the laundry basket and started reading textbooks in there. Silly boy!

America the Beautiful

8 years ago today we were all reminded that United we Stand and Divided we will Fall. It was amazing to see our country pull together in times of crisis. I don't wish another tradgedy like 9/11 on anyone, but we definately need to be reminded again of who we are, and what we stand for. There is definately too much division these days. Hopefully we can pull together before things completely fall apart.
That being said, I Love America. I think we are so blessed to live here and am grateful for the opportunities and freedoms we have to be anyone and anything we want.
God Bless the USA.

Seriously? Seriously.

Last night around 8pm, Jason, Carson and I were making our way back up to Island Park for the weekend....just cruising along, listening to music, having a good time, blah blah blah. All of the sudden a cop pulls on the freeway a little ways ahead of me. I slow down from 80mph to 70mph cause I know how Idaho cops are...SO strict about the speed limit.

The cop gets into the fast lane ahead of me going 65, so I gently switch lanes and start to creep past him at 69mph. Before I knew it, he had pulled me over. FOR SPEEDING. Seriously? Seriously.

He comes to my window and asks me if I knew how fast I was going. I say "I think it was only 69mph?"

Cop (who had stupid Mickey Mouse ears on his antenna) says "I was going the speed limit at 65mph. Is 69 more than 65?"

Me (trying to keep my cool) "uh, yes" (Do I look like I'm in first grade?)

Cop: "Well then, you were speeding. What can I do to get you to slow down?"

Me: "Pull me over?" (smart ass remark, I know. Good thing he didn't hear it over the noise of the freeway.)

Cop: "What?"

Me: "uh, I'll slow down officer, sorry about that."

Cop leaves with a smug look on his face. Good thing he didn't give me a ticket FOR GOING 4 OVER THE LIMIT. The worst part is I had JUST gotten Carson to sleep about 20min before that. Not an easy feat. And as soon as the cop pulled me over Carson started crying, upset that he'd been waken up. I wanted to yell at the guy for waking up my baby, but decided in the end it wasn't worth paying for (cause I definately would have with that guy).

Stupid Cop.
