Day 5: The Kindness of Strangers

Today as Mike went up to the cash register to pay for his lunch from Quiznos, his debit card was declined. Our bank is sending us new ones (since SOMEONE..ahem, me...lost their debit card) so they cancelled the old one, and Mike didn't have his credit card AND he only had 3 dollars cash on him. Realizing that he wouldn't be able to pay, he started to tell the cashier of his situation. The guy in line behind him overheard and paid for Mike's lunch.

Just like that. No second thoughts or hesitations.

Thank you to whoever you are. My husband didn't have to go hungry because of you! You're kindness made MY day. Thank you for reminding me that sometimes it's just the smallest things that make a big difference.

Now I'm going to pay it forward...
