Two weeks ago I had the unfortunate opportunity to partake of an awful dish: CROW. Let me tell you, it's something I would much rather have passed on. Bleh. Here's the story:
A couple months ago I was sitting in a church meeting chatting with some fellow committee members about cell phones. This other girl and I had our iphones out telling a third girl how wonderfully delightful our phones were and how they magically organized our lives and made everything easier. The third girl then asked, "Well, what if you lose your phone?"
With shock in my eyes and a little bit of black attitude, I said "Oh you DON'T lose your iphone!!! It's a $600 phone! And it has all my information in it!"
I was so proud of my answer, that I even told Mike the story when I came home. Reassuring him that I'd never lose something so valuable.
And sure enough, I lost mine.
It's nowhere to be found and after two weeks we've called off the search. We figured it must have gotten thrown away in all our hurry to get packed up and on the road to Vegas last week. I emptied all the garbages in the house before we left and the dumpster was emptied while we were gone. *SNIFF* So sad.
Moral of the story: Never say something in arrogance or chances are you'll end up eating your words. And it's a bitter meal.
