Baby Shower #3

So we finally had our last baby shower this past Saturday. It was thrown by my side of the family and was supposed to take place on Feb. 9th, but Carson was born on the 8th so as you can guess we weren't able to make it then. So we rescheduled which ended up working out better anyways, cause this way everyone was able to meet and hold Carson. Here are some pics from the shower...

Welcome Home Daddy!

Last week Mike had a two day training for Best Buy in San Francisco. We missed him but he had a great time hanging out with some co-workers and learning about some new products and techniques. Here's Carson greeting Daddy during his first trip to the airport.

Fashion is not a luxury...

For those of you who have not yet seen Sarah Jessica Parker's new clothing line, you need to check it out. She has some really cute clothes and everything is priced under $20. It's only sold at Steve and Barry's which by the way is my new favorite store! They just opened one in Utah a few months ago. They sell celebrity clothing lines there and right now everything in the store is $8.98. Last week I bought a pair of jeans, two shirts, and a pair of cute running shoes all for under $40! Call me crazy, but I love a good bargain.

Our Chunky Monkey is 2 months old!

I can't believe how fast the past two months have gone. Yesterday we took him to the doctor for his two month check up and found out he weighs 13lbs, 13 oz!! They said babies normally gain about 3 lbs in the first two months, but Carson has gained 6 lbs. He may have had a rough start, but he's certainly making up for it now!

"Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"

This weekend Mike's mom planned a girls get away for all the daughters-in-law up at their condo in Park City. We had so much fun spending time together and just getting away from life for awhile and relaxing. We spent about 5 hours shopping at the outlets Saturday afternoon and found the cutest coordinating outfits for all 7 cousins. As soon as it gets warm again we are going to have their pictures taken all together. We also went out to dinner, saw a movie, and since no sleepover would be complete without "girl talk", we stayed up till all hours of the night talking together!

Me, Debbie, Becky, and Heather...all looking a little tired after staying up so late

Goofy Girls

Okay, so the weekend wasn't all girls...Carson came with me and crashed the party.

Looking very cool in my new sunglasses!

Splish, Splash, I was takin' a bath...

Here's Carson drying off in his bathrobe a few days ago. He does pretty good with his baths, but he HATES to be cold. So we usually wash his body first, and then wrap him up in a towel and wash his hair last. As long as he stays warm, the screaming is kept to a minimum.

Mmmm...I smell good

Look at those chubby cheeks!

Just hangin' out

A Night to Remember

Last night my brother-in-law Jason and I went out on our "date." We try to go out and do things just the two of us every couple months or so, and after a rough week it was so nice to get out for a few hours last night. Mike stayed home to watch Carson while we hit the town. First up was dinner at Applebees...followed by some shopping, getting dizzy in the "round-about" (not sure why that was so funny, but it was hilarious at the time), air hockey and race car driving at the arcade, and going to see "21" at the movie theater. I had a wonderful time and it was definately a night to remember. Thanks J-love ya!
***Pictures coming as soon as I get them from Jason***

Always a Bride, never a Bridesmaid!

Okay this sounds kind of lame, but ever since I was a little girl I've always wanted to be a bridesmaid. I remember thinking when I was young that "of course I'm going to get married so I'll definately be a bride someday...but who knows if I'll ever be a bridesmaid..now THAT would be cool!" As I got a little older I realized how silly that was, and that being a bride is SO much better...but there's always been a little part of me that's still wanted to wear a bridesmaids dress in someone else's wedding (however hideous it may be). Now I can proudly say that day has arrived! One of my best friends Jennie (who also happens to be Mike's cousin, my ex-roommate, and the girl that introduced Mike and I) has asked me to be in her wedding party in June. YAY!!! Watch out Illinois..."Here comes the Bridesmaid..."

Zoolander Baby

For those of you who have seen the movie "Zoolander" you'll know what I mean when I say this is Carson's "Blue Steel" look. He makes so many funny faces, but this is definately one of our favorites! The rest of the pictures are from the first time Carson met Grandpa Jeff-when he was 5 days old.

Diapers and Doggies

Here are pictures from our first full day home from the hospital with Carson. Mike's mom came down that day to help us out and she and Mike watched the baby while I took a nap. While I was sleeping they introduced Tom and Carson and Debbie took some pictures as proof that Mike knows how to change diapers. Now there is no getting out of diaper duty...haha!
